        | 19th November 2008 | Strut Meeting - at Crowfield - Illustrated talk by Strut Member Norman Honeybell on his involvement (along with Ted Thomas) in the building a Van's RV-4 and RV-8. |
      | 19th October 2008 | Strut BBQ at Boxted
New date for the Strut BBQ at Boxted - 11am onwards.

The runway has been cut to allow people to fly-in - if the weather stays as it is the wind will be straight down the 22 runway so remember that 22 has a 100m displaced threshold due to road side power cables on poles along airfield boundary road.
We will not have the tower there nor a windsock, so suggest everyone checks local weather before they depart and use SAFETY COM on 135.475

For those arriving by road the gate in use should be the one further done the road from the memorial

Bringing along chairs and blankets would be a really good idea

Cost for the food - Approx £4 per person

Pete has promised us a toilet

The gazebo / BBQ / Toilet is likely to be set-up half way down the runway tight up against the hedge.
 |
        | 24th September 2008 | Strut Meeting - With the postponement of the BBQ, it will be down to the
Sorrel Horse again for drinks and chat.... |

Please be at Martham by 10.30am ready for the tour at 11.00am.

Pete is hoping to arrange food on site for lunch, although failing that
we can go to the a local pub.

the airfield and joining instructions can be found on the strut website

road or air, and if by air the aircraft Registration & Type and which
airfield you will be using. This way list of Ludham arrivals to Pete to arrange PPR - Thanks.

      | 23rd August 2008 | Fly-out to East Kirkby
David and Tony are planning to fly their Jodel up to East Kirkby on

, the home of Avro Lancaster "Just Jane".

      | 23rd July 2008 | Boxted Flyin Wash-up meeting at the Highwayman pub - Strut to buy the first round of beer!!
 |
      | 17th July 2008
Note: this a Thursday rather than the usual Wednesday
 | Strut Meeting - Flyout to Bentwaters for a visit to Cold War Museum.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for those flying inTour will start at 19:00 - cost £4 (although I'd suggest £5 - easier to collect the money)
Strictly no airborne arrivals before 18:30
Preferred landing Runway is runway 07 (although see below)
Avoid Tunstall to the North East (from where most complaints come from)
Therefore I suggest circuits to the South, although with the size of
the base for us these could be within the airfield boundary, so avoiding
             all villages?
As there will be a number of aircraft
arriving/departing in a short space of time suggest that
everyone uses Safetycom on 135.47 to announce intentions and to co-ordinate

The Runway will be CLOSED to aircraft operations due obstructions (barriers and wires) as it is being used by the Highways Agency. Therefore landing and take off will be by using the taxi-way to the south of the runway. This was been swept and is being used Carolyn Grace in the Spitfire. The BCWM will have cars on either end to block access by vehicles.

This means will not be able to cross the run to park by the control tower, so parking will be on one of the old cross runways, south of the taxi-way, either on the Eastern one by Dick Everrets Jaguars, or the western one by the 5 small hangars. BCWM staff in hi-viz jackets will be at the parking site. We will then be ferried by vehicles between parking and the museum
